Honda Motorcycles

Print Advertising

I created this first series of ads after joining the Honda Group at Dailey & Associates in 1984. They were designed to introduce the Aspencade, a new 1200cc product in the very successful line of Gold Wing touring motorcycles. The first ad featured multiple callouts describing all of the advancements Honda was introducing on the Aspencade. The second ad featured the advancements they had made to the 1200cc power plant. Both ads were photographed by John Bilecky.

The final two ads were "enthusiast print" spreads created to market the 1985 V65 Sabre and the 1985 GB500 Tourist Trophy. These were the final ads before Honda introduced the safety strip along the bottom of every ad basically committing 10% of their annual marketing and media to promoting motorcycle safety.
