The assignment for The Eclectic Touch, was to develop a brand look and feel that included; a series of small space print ads and matching post cards, outdoor board, new bag design, and existing logo refinement.
The "green and white stripe" motif existed on several internal items including the aprons the staff would wear while working. Using this as the background for the print, collateral and outdoor proved to be the perfect branding element combined with the use of simple black and white product photography. The hammered metal look of the logo type simply needed expert kerning, stacking, and the addition of flourishes.
When it came to the bag design, I was able to save a little on printing costs by using a 2-color design on white paper. The black string handles and black tissue paper added an elegant touch to the look of the bag and tied nicely to the employee aprons. These then became personal billboards shoppers would carry from store to the next promoting The Eclectic Touch store.
