Gumby was just one of those toys you got as a kid, sort of like a G.I. Joe. Over the years I'd had several in various sizes. I also had Gumby's side-kick Pokey. My last was while I was attending SCCC. It was just sort of cool to have Gumby wrapped around your drawing pencil while you were in Life Drawing Class. Unfortunately, he wasn't designed to be an eraser, but this one is one of the survivors.

The reason I've included this guitar in my "Happy Art" series, even though it wasn't from my childhood, I've included because of how I felt when I first picked it up, plugged it in and started play "House of the Rising Sun". I couldn't feel any cooler or be more happy than I did at that very moment.
